This Project
This project was realized in collaboration with the renowned interior designer Daniela Weber (dw-interiordesign.de).
The Challenge
At the beginning of 2023, Daniela Weber was entrusted by Dentsu with the exciting task of creating a new home for its employees in Augsburg. GRAEF provided invaluable support, particularly in terms of furnishing serial and custom furniture.
The goal was to design a feel-good office that reflects Dentsu's new design concept. The aim was to create a workspace that would entice employees back to the office from their home setups. The new office needed to:
- Establish a harmonious connection between traditional Japanese aesthetics and modern technological advancements.
- Incorporate local references to Augsburg.
- Feature open structures aligned with New Work principles, offering spaces for collaboration where employees could interact and communicate creatively and effortlessly.
The Solution
The multifunctional entrance area, known as the “Welcome Zone,” greets employees and guests with an open and inviting design. The rotunda forms the heart of the office, complemented by:
- A modern kitchen and cafeteria as central meeting points.
- Various spaces designed for focused work, creative breaks, and informal conversations.
For leisure time beyond work, the terrace was equipped with a fully functional barbecue area.
The Interior Design
Dentsu's new office embodies an interior design concept that powerfully reflects the company's values and brand identity.
The calming base colors and materials create a relaxed atmosphere, while dynamic accents are added through transparent curtains, gradient films, and the Bokeh light installation as a highlight. The use of light natural tones for floors, walls, and furniture fosters a peaceful and comfortable working environment.
